2x16 HD44780 Help, 2nd line only shows 8 chars

Hi, 1st post here, I just finished making an interfase for my 2x16 HD44780 / KS0065 LCD via paralel port, Im using winXP SP2

I configured the program to use the HD44780 and checked the KS0073 addressing and it works ALMOST OK, I mean the first line works as expected without a hitch, the second one only shows the leftmost 8 characters, the other 8 are always blank.

Any idea on what may be wrong? could the KS0065 be slightly different than the KS0073?

Unfortunatelly I dont have the datasheet for this LCD.

solved it, unchecked the KS0073, restarted and now works as expected
