IRtrans Support as a plugin?

Post by bbimber »

I know that LCD smartie has built-in support for IRtrans now, but before this was added, was there a stand-alone plugin for support? If so, does anyone know where i can find this?

Thanks.

No, there was no IRTrans support before it was added in 5.3.2.

What is it that you're after? I developed the code to talk to the IRTrans server, I can probably answer anything you need to know...

i;m acutally using frontview w/ an OrigenAE (aka zalman or uneed) display. i use frontview because i already paid for it and it has features to display MCE info built-in. frontview 4.0 doesnt support irtrans yet. however, it does support LCD smartie plugins, and i thought i once saw an IRtrans plugin for LCD smartie. I was thinking that might be a way around the problem. Apparently I was wrong on this.

The author of frontview is apparently working on this, but i think it's just one guy and things sometimes move slowly.

Yeah, plugins are really input devices for LCD Smartie, whereas the driver DLLs are output devices. There is no way to make a Smartie plugin talk to a display (it could be done I suppose, but it'd be a backwards way of getting where you need to be).

Good luck!
