Hi, I am currently running LCD Smartie 5.3 under WinXP Pro with no issues. I upgraded to 5.4 and everything worked great except when coming out of system standby. The CrystalFontz display initially wakes up, but then turns back off. Display is connected through a USB port with the latest USB drivers and the latest CrystalFontz LCD drivers. I have since rolled back to version 5.3 and the problem went away. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Bob

See if this helps. The driver was getting incorrectly disposed, which would cause the COM/LPT port to be "occupied" when the system comes back up.
If it works let me know....

Mike,
Display now takes longer to "wake up" than it did with version 5.3. It also flashes a couple of times. Just letting you know, not a problem for me.
All in all, you solved the problem. Great work!!!
Thanks for a awesome program, Bob
PS - While I have your attention, is it possible for LCDSmartie to monitor the sleep state of the system display? I would like to create an action based on this.

Only thing I could find was how to detect screen saver or not. I'm not sure if that gets it for you. I also found how to figure out if power saving mode is enabled, but not the power saving state the machine is in.
In other words, I can detect when the screen saver kicks in, but not when the screen goes dark when Windows goes into low power mode.
