windows explorer plug-in

Do you know about some plug-in which allows to show information from windows explorer window when I am browsing on my HDD or CD? I have a Media center with M-Play Blast display (l.i.s. plug-in works). If I play music I used to not switch on the monitor. It is OK whe I am listening Audio CD-s. This plug-in would be useful if I wanted to start some music from HDD. I would open Windows Explorer ot Total Commander by remote. My suggestion for input information:
1. Show text or filename where is the cursor
2. Show the active foldername
I think it is enough for good navigation.

Also I have an other idea. It will be useful to show some info on the display when I press in the Start menu Shut down. There I can choose Restart, stand-by or shut down. Without monitor it will be good to know what will happen if I press OK.
