Futaba m402sd06gl + com-port

Post by paulchen007 »

hi,

i have a few problems to get the vfd connected with a usb-to-serial-converter and lcd smartie working.

it woks well with hyperterminal - each char is diplayed in the correct way.

when i start lcd smartie and select the com-port it shows a lot of $%(/".

ready for answers...

How's about some details of your setup.

Version
Driver
Com port
baud rate
settings

Lots of information missing that's needed before anyone can try to answer this....

62500 is not a standard baud rate and certainly not what the display is expecting.

You might need to use the test driver to get this to work, or maybe the HD44780S driver I did not long ago.

You have the docs for the display? I'd need to see these before I could guess at what driver to use....

the vfd is connected with a usb-serial-converter. this thing make the right (non standard) baud rate between pc and vfd. (hyperterminal works fine)

a datasheet is here:
http://www.jalcdsforum.de/misc2.php?act ... entid=1798

i guess the problem is the vfd-internal char-set. :?:
