Test Driver Help

I noticed here http://lcdsmartie.sourceforge.net/testdriver.html
that HyperEm1 had gotten support for the CU20045SCPB-T23A vfd.

I am not able to get my T23A vfd to work using the Test Driver, although it does work with LCDInfo. I followd all the info from the above page.

Can anyone tell me how this might be accomplished?

I have my vfd wired according to this http://www.vfdworld.com/index.php?page=usingyourvfd

Well, nevermind. I figured out I had to use a serial connection.
