Hi All,
I imagine thisi is an unpopular subject, So I'll start with an easy question:
1. Should the RS pin be connected to the INIT or the SELECT-IN pin on the parellel port side? The docs on the LCD Smartie say pin 16, but I can't find confirmation of what pin 16 is expected to be (INIT or SELECT-IN). I have it connected to INIT.
2. The hard stuff: has anyone got LCD Smartie working under Vista 64? If so, what did you use and how?
Or is it easier to just rebuild as XP x64? Anyone know if drivers are easily available for XP 64-bit? I had a feeling that most developers & manufacturers gave XP 64 the flick and just concentrated on Vista 64, but Im happy to be proven wrong - I really font need the overheads that come with Vista.
I have got a Betabrite Classic working off the serial port under Vista 64 without drivers - but I think LCD Smartie is different?
Thanks for any replies.
Dwight.
