Hello please someone help me set up my lcd screen thing i have just got and its plugged in but i dont know what "your bios" are and all of that or how to change and allso i have dowloaded the port95nt thing and the smarite 5.4 and it comes up but the light dont turn on and onlt dose when the letters change so someone please help me on this. talk to me on here or add my msn: racer300@hotmail.com

First of all DON'T PANIC.... You have already PM me and double posted about your issue.
We need some info in order to help you:
Please tell us the LCD Type (eg HD44780) and connection type (parallel or serial). If you can't be sure about it try to describe the connection and the power cables (maybe a photo will help more).
We need to know the settings you have selected on the driver of LCD Smartie. A screen shoot is the best way to tell.
Also check your virtual display indication and also the physical one (your LCD), are there any differences on the displayed messages?
Last thing about the backlight... Are you saying that the LCD is flashing? Please check the connections as well the actions menu.

I'm really sorry for posting this post... But I'm really angry!
Unfortunately bradley881 seems to be an ungrateful guy...
Three days ago I was chatting with him in MSN (my first advice was to check the forums but he was denied to do it) in order to find a solution in this problem. After an hour, or so, the solution was found (it was the config.ini file, some settings was changed).
Anyway...
Finishing the chat I asked from him to : "Please post a reply on your request on the forums .... mentioning the solution (corrupt configuration file)...."
The reason for this only one: To help more people
However No reply... No indication on the forums. I'm very disappointed about this behavior.
I PERSONALLY, WILL NEVER ANSWER AGAIN DIRECTLY TO ANY MEMBER OF THE FORUMS. I BELIEVE THAT THE BEST WAY IS THE PUBLIC DISCUSSION, AND THIS IS FINAL

Don't get too angry Limbo! There will always be people who want an answer NOW without being prepared to listen or find out for themselves.
Good call on the No PM support policy though - if it's a solution that others will be able to use, it should be on the forum for everybody to see. And if you want help, make it easy for others to help you.
And on the subject of ungratefulness:
Thank you and Please are two little keys
That open every door.
If you use one, you'll get some;
If you use both, you'll get more!
