LPT/Shutdown Message?

Hi, newbie to LCD's here.

I'm running LCDS 5.4 (5.4.0.5 says the .exe) thru XP SP2 controlling my 44780 thru LPT, finally got everything set how I like it (expect for not having a method for hooking up status LEDs - backlight controlled thru LCDS/Girder w/ IR remote, IR reciever plugged into serial port and a budget of $ to spend on buying usb adapters etc.), configuring screens, creating actions etc. but have just realised that the screen simply shuts down whene LCDS closes, either hitting the X or through shutdown of the computer. I've tried running the latest beta, and also a couple of other things Fast351 offered in another thread (driver and .exe) to no avail.

Idea's anyone?

The shunt down message doesn't work on the LPT driven LCDs (this is well known issue)

I guessed that was the case, I guess I can live with it, current uptime for my system is 37 days, 16 hours anyway.
