hi friends, i have some problems with my lcd n smartie..
may require some help to make it work properly,

i have installed on my pc
Xp sp3
Smartie 5.4
port95nt
Netframework 3.0

now i set the LPT on 278 epp



my display an hd44780 compatible
model Qy2004, dont have the datasheet, but the pins stay marked on
the circuit

I have not used the potentiometers, which would value and the right way to connect them, since they do not understand the scheme

You seem to have all settings right.

The display on the other hand has a little problem on the 2nd line:

The part that I put in red looks like a defect on that display!
The lines 1 and 3 are normal for all LCD's and they show when powered up.

It is always a good idea to test the lcd on some older computer and check the wiring a few times with a multimeter.
Using a 100Ohm resistor for the backlight is highly recommended! If the lcd doesn't have internal resistor then the backlight leds will burn out.

I will check the wiring, it would be good if someone has a photo, to see how serious the connection of the same,
because my knowledge in electronic are basic and can not understand how connected are looking at the circuit diagram
