At least you know that the first one works with LCDSmartie and it is also wired, plug and play with it.

The second one states a KS066 compatible driver, and please note the KS066 is almost compatible to HD44780, so its a compatible compatible LCD that you will have to wire and test... also no case for it.

Under 30$ is a good buy, under 40$ it's ok because it's already wired and tested and put in a case, over 50$ it's overkill...
Just my 2 cents.

In theory you can find 4x40 chinese made displays for around 15 to 25 shipped but you'll have to solder the wires.

He put up another one and it looks like the KS006 works quite fine.
