New user help with Seti@home

Hi all, and thanks for prog I love it

. I am using ver 5.4 and would like to use the seti@home screen that is built in but keep getting "socket error #11004" can someone please tell me how to setup to use this.

Hi again, is there really nobody out there that can help me set this up to use the Seti@home built in feature. Please help I have searched forum for previous posts but found no help there. Thanks.

I 'll give you few tips:
Be more descriptive on the topic title!
Be patient!

Socket error is something related to connectivity...
I'm going to check it and I'll be back

It could be possible that they changed the method of retreiving stats.

I will take a look at this but can't promise a timeframe. I'll PM you soon to give me some private details, I don't have a Seti account.

Yes. I tried by installing boinc. It seems that the program cannot access the stats.

I think its time to remove this old tab from menu, or update it!

I would love to see new seti@home program to be compatible with lcd smartie.

Yes, it would be nice if the stats retrieval could be updated to function again. One of those for the wish list I think heh

yeah it's got socket error. i think Smartie can't connect to Boinc, i'd try older version of Seti client (it's like available on site)
