3 questions

1.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I haven't seen any instructions or tutorials anywhere on how to do this.

I would like to use at least the $Email1 function for my VFD. I just have no idea how to set it up. I don't know the exact server or SSL, or even if the SSL is required. If someone knows how to do hotmail as well that'd be nice.

I do not have Yahoo Plus, but I am 100% sure that has nothing to do with this. I have a separate computer which runs Pidgin, a multi-protocol instant messaging program that does support yahoo. I have no yahoo buddies but, it tells me when I get a new e-mail. Not only that, but if I wait long enough it even tells me the title and I don't pay for any services. So, there must be SOME way I can set this up.

2.
Where are the web service, web text, and vertical scroll plugins?

3.
Is it possible to either add spaces or start a new line when theres a new paragraph or line in an RSS website?

Much thanks in advance

1. Hotmail and Yaho can't get shown in smartie because they do not offer POP3 access ( Hotmail uses a proprietary protocol to communicate with windows mail, Yahoo has POP3 in paid service plan )

3. Use the search and replace plugin and try to replace end of line with a few spaces. It will depend on how the feed is built though. And if there is an enf of line marker in it.

1. well i'm aware it doesn't have pop3 access, but the mail is still accessible anyway. for example, people who use hotmail and outlook can still receive e-mail within that program, not because of pop3 but hotmail also provides a http service. since pidgin was capable of checking my mail without pop3, i would think something like this could, except maybe not with the default e-mail checker lcd smartie has.

3. i'll check out the search and replace funtion, seems good enough but i'd prefer something that creates a separate line.

Because the protocol is closed source and proprietary there are almost no chances to see such a plugin for hotmail, as for yahoo, the messenger uses its own protocol too to check if new mail is arrived so no chances there too with the POP3 built in function.
