I know there are diagrams everywhere on the net and even this site but I never wired a OLED display before. the only pin function that I don't understand is Pin three VBT Operating Voltage for LCD Brightness ADJ. I was thinking about getting http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=26206
Or a 20 X 4 Display (In regular HD44780 display wiring do I really need a contrast pot?)
Thanks

It looks like the wiring for that ebay display is exactly the same as for a normal HD44780 LCD module. Try it with the normal contrast potentiometer wiring and set the pot to around halfway.
They call it an OLED LCD module, so maybe it's a normal LCD panel with OLED backlight??
For most LCDs it's a good idea to include the contrast pot as the contrast control setting varies a bit between modules/manufacturers for a given contrast ratio. It also lets you optimise the contrast if the viewing angle changes.
