Hi all,

I've created a skin for LCD Smartie and I thought I'd share.
It was pretty easy to create, so I'll write a guide if anyone wants one.
I thought it was a good idea to start a thread so everyone can post their skins too.

I remember the main site having some skins to download. Have they been removed? I remember a couple of them being a bit 'rude' but maybe we should find them again and resurrect that page?

I've created a bare skin with coloured areas on it to help people make their own skins.

Bare Skin for LCD Smartie

Systray Icon:

Colour Key:
WHITE and BLACK areas = Appear onscreen.
RED areas = Do not appear onscreen.
DARK BLUE areas = Appear onscreen only with LCD Emulate UNTICKED.
LIGHT BLUE areas = Appear onscreen only with LCD Emulate TICKED and a width of 40.
PINK areas = Mark the borders of the theme|screen area. LEFT is for x10, x16, x20 LCDs, MIDDLE is for x24 LCDs and RIGHT is x40 LCDs.

Well, I finally got around to downloading and installing the smoothblack skin. Very nice, and thanks for creating/sharing it, fishthecat! The slick, modern look suits something techie like Smartie.

Only one small niggle: There's no full-size icon (32x32 and even 48x48 for desktop shortcut etc) to match the systray icon. It would be nice to have everything coordinated

I'm working on a black skin myself but it might look like one
posted above, so maybe it's not even neccesary to create it.

Sorry folks, I've not got any web hosting for my skins any more. Can anyone suggest somewhere to host them? Or could one of Smartie Admins host them on the official site?

I personally use tripod ( http://www.tripod.lycos.nl/ or http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk/).
it's free and you get 1Gb storage.
But they're currently moving to a new centre,
so I can't use it at the moment.

Maybe rapid share works, but I don't know how long files will be available once uploaded.
