There isn't an installer as such for LCD Smartie. After you've downloaded the ZIP file, you just extract all the files to a folder somewhere on your system and create a shortcut to LCDSmartie.exe.
I have Smartie installed at C:\Smartie, but you can choose something like C:\Program Files\LCD Smartie to match the rest of your programs.
You'll typically want Smartie to auto-start when Windows starts, so after extracting Smartie to your chosen folder, simply run LCDSmartie.exe, click the Setup button and choose "Autostart" on the Startup/Shutdown tab in the Setup window. This automatically creates a shortcut for Smartie in the Startup folder in your Start menu, so you don't need to create a shortcut manually.
You also need to configure Smartie to use the correct driver for your display. This depends on the exact LCD/VFD you have, so post here again if you need help on configuration.
