Calculator plugin

Post by DotA_Player »

Heya,
what about calculator plugin ?

My idea of this thing :
- It will be active when you turn Scroll Lock ON
- It will primary designed for 4x20 display
- It will use only numeric keys (number 0-9, +, -, *, /, enter for executing, dot) and delete for reset and backspace for "backspacing" :), it will be usable even you have turned Num Lock off

My idea of screen on 4 line display : http://7c.unas.cz/calc.jpg

What do you think about it ? I think it is possible to do it in smartie and it won't be hard to programme it for someone who "know how".

Doesn't look like there has been much interest in this... sorry.

I can't see myself using a plugin calculator as I already have a calculator... calc.exe in Windows, which I can launch with a hotkey on my multimedia keyboard. I also use a regular scientific calculator for more complicated stuff.

Well, it's 50:50.

Of course there's calc.exe or scientific calculator, that will be definitively more comfortable than this when doing more mathematic operations.

My idea was when you are in some full screen app or game and you need couple simple operations like 32*1024 or you need for example divide earned gold for each team member or something. Then will such function come usefull and handy (more than classic methods).

I only thought someone may have mind to do that and also find it useful for himself 8) :?

That's the kind of thing I'd rather do in my head. Sorry but I don't see there being much interest :(
