Hello,
I am looking at everyone's LCD's that they fit into a bay in their computer case and was thinking about my own mods for my case. I was seeing these larger LCD screens that are around on auction sites and got to thinking. Is it possible to use one of these screens that have flex cables? Like a laptop screen. I'm noticing that most of the displays are similar in size and I was looking to make a larger display for my desk and was just curious if this was possible. I'm not sure if there is a flex cable to usb port or something but I'd love to hear some ideas if anyone has one for using a larger screen.
Thanks for your help?
Nate

OK here's an example of the screen.

I would like to use a larger screen like this with LCDsmartie if it would be possible.
Thoughts?

Re: LCD to USB?
It has an Epson SC17500F0A controller chip so that's a good start. You always want a controller chip!
Try to find the datasheet of that controller chip and see how to communicate with it.
The next step is to code a display driver for smartie.
