Hi all,
I'm new and i would like to know if this VFD from futaba could work with LCDsmartie..
the model is: gp9002a01a. it's a grafic VFD with 20 pins connector and this is the connection table:
Should i use it?
I've also another futaba alphanumeric VFD, model: m12by02aa 1x12 characters with 8 pin connector.. but i can't find the datasheet...
Thankyou for your help!

From the above I can only tell that it is a parallel connection.
If it works depends on the specific futaba driver or if it is HD44780 compatible (to use HD44780 driver).
Maybe others have used it and can chime in.

If its a graphic lcd it wont work unless you write your own plugin that uses character into graphic conversion (ex drawing letter onto a bitmap or graphical buffer and then write that to the lcd)
