Can't install LCD Smartie on Windows 7 32bit

Post by Gunnar »

When I try to install the programm I get this error:

unable to load skin from sSkinPath: C:\Users\XXXX\Downloads\LCDSmartie5.4.1\images\: Cannot open file
C:\Users\XXXX\Downloads\LCDSmartie5.4.1\images\logo.bmp

I'm logged in as a user with administrative privileges. Any idea what's going wrong?

Now I have found that I have to install 5.4 RC2 first and then the installation is no problem ;-)
Program is running, but the screens are not sent to the display. I have created a bootscreen with the program 632_634_Boot_Screen. When I start LCD Smartie the boot screen disappears on the display and only the backlight remains.
I'm using crystal.dll and the correct COM port. What do I have to change?

Bitrate is ok? 9600, 19200?
Don't know by heart what bitrate CF uses.

CF631. 115200 - I set the driver to this baud rate too...
and it's a good idea to increase the contrast, so one can see what the display shows ^^
Now it works fine. Anyhow some questions:

Is it possible to make own characters with LCD Smartie and what is to do that symbols like ä, ö, |, [, ],... will be shown correctly?
How can I run 2 or 3 displays at the same time?

After waking from sleep modus the display goes on for a second and switches off. An error is shown (can't handle speedfan.dll or so..).
Can I make any changes to avoid this error?

Thanks.
