Well I have a usbport.dll file in the lcd smartie main directory, but I get this error:
Failed to open device: DLL Initalize error: MATRIX.DLL EXCEPTION: No connected USB Palms were detected.
Please ensure PalmOrb is already running on your palm
Did I download the wrong USBport.dll?
I have a matrix orbital vk204-24-usb. Which I now is connected right and working, because I use it with lcdc.

You have to select the correct COM port (not USB) and set speed to 19200. Like COM1, 19200 for example.

I had forgotten that you had to use com port. I just copied the setting from lcdc.
