I got this controller from HK http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-Characters-LCD- ... 0318195236
I also have this VFD http://www.bipom.com/documents/peripherals/vfd202.pdf
I connected them - all works - screen lights up and scrolls wrong characters - I guess it's because the USB controller is HD44780 compatible and the display is not.
I did search for a tut or anything to help me convert the character set or use another plugin but got nothing.
Can one of u guys shed some light on the matter - thank you

Are you sure you have connected the data lines correctly? A mistake there could give you strange characters. I don't know this display, but it might not be fully compatible with the LCD2USB adapter...

it's funny - I have a 2x20 LCD display and LCD2USB works fine with it.
I also found out that the U series Noritake VFD I have it is HD44780 compatible.
I have an LCD demo board http://www.sureelectronics.net/goods.php?id=682 device from SURE electronics that works with the VFD and the LCD (scrolls Have Fun).
Then still no luck when VFD is connected to LCD2USB - is there a timing issue or something ?
