New display driver with Dev-C++

I'm writing a DLL for a new display in C. I'm using Dev-C++.
The DLL correctly initialize the display (i've added a Beep for confirmation), but lcdsmartie starts and then closes quickly...
where is the problem?

Driver is correctly recognized by LCD Smartie (usage example appears), but after display initialize lcdsmartie close
Is a DevC++ issue?
