Hi,
Have been rebuilding a new LCD Screen, nothing special just a 2x16 via a USB FT245 chip.
I have rebuilt this 3 times now to get it to work.
So i have rechecked the connections this morning and have got it to work now.
After about 10-15 min whith it plugged in, it will BSOD with an error of "IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal"
Now i have installed the latest FTDI drivers.
Anyone have any ideas what is causing this?
If theres anymore info you need plase let me know because i havnt got a clue what im doing.
Regards

Re: BSOD Problem
Are you still having trouble after updating the drivers?
If not, there's a chance you still have a faulty connection somewhere, and even a chance that the USB module is damaged.
First thing to try is remove the drivers and force a re-detection. Open up Device Manager (somewhere under Control Panel > System depending on your Windows version) and look for the FT245 in the device list (I think the device name depends on the exact module model), right-click and uninstall. Then unplug the device (maybe also reboot) and try reinstalling.
FTDI also have some install/uninstall advice at http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Documen ... Guides.htm

Re: BSOD Problem
Try to install the previous version of the driver. V 2.06.xx works for me, 2.08.xx doesn't.
With 2.08.xx driver my PC hangs after 20-30 mins of work.
