I'm goign to solder cables to an LPT connector to connect an 2*16 LCD. I'm using the schematic found in this topic: http://forums.lcdsmartie.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=187
But I'm not sure if the LPT connector in the schematic is displayed frontside (the part you plug into the computer) or backside (the part that you actually solder).
Seems important to know for the pin assignments. Somebody can shed a light on this ?

That diagram show the pins side (not the solder side) of the male connector.
You should be able to see tiny numbers printed/molded onto the connector next to each pin - some connectors do not have them, though.

Thanks !
And thanks for the tip about the numbers. After looking at it with a magnifier I was able to see the numbers.
