16x2 LCD Question
I have a 16X2 HD44780 LCD, i recenlty found out i was unable to connect it via a DB9 with LPT convertor, how will i be able to connect this to my PC? i have no LPT onboard as i have a recent motherboard (GIgabyte 970A-USB3) i seen something about using an FTDI breakout board, but not sure which one to get, any help is appreciated

Try getting the new LCD Smartie hardware backpack board. This should make your screen run just fine in Smartie via USB
