Ok, I won an LCD Smartie (LCD Smartie Kit 16X2 White on Blue Starter USB/UART - Sure Electronics)
I plug it into the USB, it lights up! ooo... I found drivers (the CP210x) its showing in the Device manager as Silicone Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM3) and Communications Port (COM1)
Downloaded and Installed LCD Smartie v5.4
it seems no matter what I try, nothing happens on the screen. Just says "LCD Smartie Sure Electronics"
help!
Thanks!

How have you configured the display in Smartie? what display device and parameters?

Did you set that com port for the correct parameters for the display in device manager? What Baud rate does the display require to run?
