I have a few questions....

Why would I need one of these? (the CFA631-TMF-KU) comes with a USB cable, so is there any reason why I need an extra board?

Will this fit behind a 3.5inch bay (it seems to large), might be based on the above answer?

I can do that via donation which is way more efficient than asking for hardware in return, so.... is there a reason this needs to be in the system with the hardware CFA631-TMF-KU?

If you want to buy a board you can contact gorlik via PM.

The board is awesome. The board is an USB enabled device, detected as HID device witch means that there are no drivers needed for windows environment.
I believe that gorlik have done an exceptional work driving the hardware to its limits!

Here is an example of what the board does and what I use it for. . . I use these to control any LCD module that was ment for parallel, like the HD44780 driver on the back. This is basically a backpack board, and like it says on the official page, it can go up to 4x40 displays. . . .

I wanted to order the LCD Smartie Hardware, and contacted Gorlik in private message after registering as "Fiery" in this forum. I've got a reply from him, kindly informing me about the costs I should expect. Then mysteriously my forum account got deleted (wiped), so I had to register again as the same username, Fiery. I'd like to know what's going on, and why cannot I purchase from your product. I'd be happy to aid the development of your software by buying your hardware, and I'm sure many others would happily do the same. I can't fathom why my forum account was deleted, unless of course it was a system crash and the forum database was recovered from an older backup. Which seems unlikely, but who knows...

Anyway, Gorlik, please contact me in email about further discussion about the hardware purchase.

So, I bought one of these.
Im a beginner at lcd-displays so to speak.
And i got question: I want a quick start guide for it.
How to connect it to my pc in simple.
I search the forum, and cant find out.
I got my 2x16 lcd up and running. Connected the 16 headers from the lcdsmartie hardware directly to the lcd.
and connected the mini-usb to the pc-usb port.
so the lcd lights up and says
"gglabs.us
lcdsmartie.org"
But i cant find out how to control it via the lcdsmartie software.
Do i need to connect some more cables on the hardware board?

You have to select the driver under display settings. DS00HIDA_103.dll is the latest.

I have this VFD display that I got with my HTPC case, but without any connector cables/harness : Samsung 16T202DA1e VFD - can anyone help with advice on how to connect to my motherboard etc PLEASE
