Contact with Jason Jacobs, aka _X7JAY7X_

Dear LCDSmartie forum moderators:

I need to contact with Mr. Jason Jacobs, aka _X7JAY7X_ (hardware developer and forum moderator), to ask him about his Serial LCD development, and on licenses covering his works (schematics, firmware and on availability of source code).

I'm developing an Open Source Hardware PLC for educative purposes, for use in technical high schools and professional training centres, allowing students to learn about industrial automation without the need to buy any propietary (and expensive) PLC brand.
My development is based on very standard electronics: PIC16F887, CNY74-4/2, LM324/358, MAX485, and active and pasive components that can be buyed at the majorie of electronic component stores, and on various Two Layer Plated Through Hole PCBs for different modules (MCU, outputs, expansions), allowing students to build, mount and program theirs own PLCs.
This PLC can be programmed in Ladder language (fulfilling IEC 61131-3) by means LDmicro, a free software GPLv2 developed by Jonathan Westhues and now maintained and upgraded by Ihor Nehrutsa at Github.

I want to develop a simple HMI module for this Open PLC; searching in LDmicro Github wiki I've found a link to Jason Jacobs works (formerly at freewebs.com/x7jay7x/ , but now unavailable), new links to download his schematics, original firmware and also a slightly modified version with MCLR enable, by Ihor Nehrutsa.

I wish to adapt Jason Jacobs Serial LCD to my PLC, but being my project Open Hardware plus Free Software, I need to be very careful about licenses.

I've sent various messages to Jason, using PM features available in this forum, but for now I haven't received any reply.
I don't know if Jason is still involved with LCDSmartie development or forum moderation (apparently, he sent his last posts to this forum ten years ago).

Googling Jason Jacobs, the only other relevant result is at TechwareLabs (as Editor in Chief), I have sent various messages to him through that site, but I haven't received any reply, again.

If you, developers and/or moderators at LCDSmartie, have any kind of contact or data about Jason (personal or corporative site, email, whatever), could you send me this valuable information?
