Rss plugin not working anymore?

Hi guys, Id noticed many months ago that rss plugin shows iohandler not valid error.

Anyone know if there is a fix?

Im not sure when stopped working, since I dont use this plugin very often.

Only rss i got working is the bundled one http://news.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_uk ... rss091.xml

I tried many from here

And many more from spanish sites with no luck, all says iohandler not valid

Latest version on github fork fixes this and lot of other issues.

Nice. Cant believe the project is back. Was a "spam" mail alerting about version 5.6 what brings me here.

Most RSS feed were not working. Will report any findings with the new versions.

Sounds good. The more RSS compatibility the better IMO!

Seems to be working better than before. Many RSS sites didnt like before, now works.

But I have trouble with custom or foreign characters. I already have correction for my LCD, but on this plugin every foreign or symbol show as `?` So it cannot be fixed with other plugin, since all foreign or custom are shown with the same symbol `?`

Please describe the problem and a way to reproduce it in order to be checked and possibly solved on next release.
