I'm having the same problem, it was working fine before but about five or ten minutes later it started displaying random characters. The way it happens is that when the screen changes it displays the screen perfectly well, but a second later the blocks start to display a random character starting with the top left or bottom left in most cases. Any ideas? I've checked and rechecked the wiring, i've ensured that the leads aren't crossed, and have absolutely no idea what to do next.
Thanks in advance
Edit: Tried changing the Bios' LPT port setting so it wasn't on EPP or ECP, I tried the two other options that were titled: Bi-directional and Standard (Centronics) to no avail. The situation's seemed to get worse, could it be heat related? This: http://www.shopeio.com/inventory/detail ... cter%20Lcd
is the LCD I'm using.
Thanks in advance
