Exist LCD modules based on the controller hd44780 having two pages the ?haracter generator.

How in program LCDSmartie to change value a bit "P" in a command "Function Set"
of the controller initialization? Look a datasheet...

I don't read Russian but I think I see what you are talking about. Bit 1 in the Function Set instruction selects one of two built-in character sets. In the standard HD44780, that bit is not used, and I assume the Smartie HD44780 driver does not have any built-in way to set that bit. This would need some changes to the driver program code...

It is necessary to change a page the character generator at controller initialization. To add one more checkbox in the menu of settings HD44780. Yes, it demands easy changes to the driver program code. A problem of display russian symbols it will be solved (only for MT-16S2D)...

Thanks you! I wrote this code myself in lcd_smartie-5.3.2_final release.
LCD MT-16S2D from MELT work is OK! The russian text it is already displayed without limits!!!

To send the modify source code for limbo.
