How to map Matrix Orbital buttons to keyboard keystrokes

Hi,

I have Matrix Orbital LCD with couple of buttons and I would like to use those buttons to control my HTPC. But how I can map those LCD buttons to keyboard buttons? I can do some screen changing etc. with those LCD buttons but I do not know how to map them to actual keyboard commands.

After replacing my HD44780 with a Matrix Orbital MX412 (which is not working with LCD Studio at the moment

) I would also like to know how to map the buttons.

The actions tab in LCDSmartie is your best bet.

The you can use the buttons to control winamp and also execute programs. Creating a menu is also a good choice.

I don't use them much, but maybe somebody knows more to help you.
