Is this LCD compatable with Smartie

Post by Vaz »

Hi guys,

I've always wanted an LCD and I'd like you're advice. Is THIS LCD compatable with smartie?

Also, many people have posted code for different screens. Can you have multiple changing screens or will it be just the one which you code?

Thanks

The answer is Yes, on both questions :D

In order to find how the LCD Smartie work you can test it without any LCD decvice fitted to your PC (using virtual display).

GREAT! :D

one last thing-

here the screen seems rather big (4x20) but on smartie it looks like it will be small.

Is 4(H)x20(W) a good size? regular? Acceptable for the different screen settings?

Thanks

(im new to this so need a few tips :))

4x20 is quite good  !
You will be satisfied.
You can use even a simple 2x16 and have all the information you want there (by changing on LCD Smartie screens more often) but 4x20 is great.

I like it because in this size you can use plugins such BigText and SnakeText without any problem.

Anyway there are bigger displays with more space (characters) to use like the 4x40 but its hard to find them and even harder to place them in your case or in your desk.
