Question about shutdown msg.

Excellent addition of the custom shutdown msg to LCD Smartie for telling if your headless server is shut down. Mad props to whoever put that in.

The only problem I am having? It doesn't work on my setup.

I'm using a parallel HD44780 (i think that's the #, it's the most generic LCD out there) 4x20 display. Everything else LCD related works perfectly so it doesn't look like an LCD issue.

Any ideas why it's not working? I've tried closing the app and logging off leaving Smartie running. All it does is blank the LCD on exit. (which is a tad better than leaving the last active data on the display).

Hey Fast351 this driver cannot drive my HD44780 display.
Any hidden setting?

I get the same thing, no LCD activity although the little LCD display simulator shows activity.

I even copied the $378,0,0,0 settings string that the default HD44790 driver uses instead of the dll's default of LPT1 with no difference.

Is there something I forgot to do?
