Every time I start LCD Smartie it checks for a new version on the internet and annoyingly prompts me "A new version of LCD Smartie is detected. 5.4. Go to LCD Smartie website?".
I don't want the new version, and it is very annoying to have to click "no" to this prompt every time I start my computer.
I have not been able to find a setting that disables this check for new versions -- anybody know how to fix this?? Block LCD Smartie in the firewell perhaps?

I'm sure there used to be an option for this somewhere on the Setup window... can't see it now though.
If you block Smartie in your firewall, it won't be able to show RSS, email or any web type info.
I think you can stop the update check manually by changing an option in the config file (config.ini in the Smartie installation folder).
Close Smartie, then open config.ini and look for a line like CheckUpdates=1 and change it to CheckUpdates=0. I think that should stop it.
