Cannot get perf plugin to work, no matter what!

I have been trying at this for some time now, and even the sample codes don't work. I am basically getting [Bad counter] on the LCD.

Which leads me to my second question...
All I want is a number, like 5%, 10%, 90% etc, for both of the cores in my computer. Could someone who knows much more about how this works give me a sample code to do that? I have been running really smoothly up until this point, but the perf plugin has really stumped me.

There's a newer version of the plug-in with a few fixes. Hopefully it will solve your issue:
