Help, Can't get working with PCI card

So since my PC doesn't have a Parallel port i invested in a PCI card which gives me one.

i can get my screen working on an older machine which has a port but i can't seem to get it working on new PC with PCI card...

im using HD44780

any ideas??

with a little searching while i was waiting i was able to solve... had to use IO device and such so like $CD00

True, the search button can in most cases be you best friend and fastest solution!
