Just to point out, the VFD does work with the original M.Play MCE prorgram, but its just plain terrible and this program looks amazing so I want this instead.
I do have the v1.1 plugin for this. I would also like to point out I have 64 bit Windows XP, and I have LCD Smartie v5.4.1.7.
My problem is the screen just doesn't light up. No matter what I set the contrast or brightness to, nothing happens. The startup parameters I set are "COM3,9600,[0]" which according to device manager are correct. If I change the, the program does say they're wrong, but the bit rate doesn't affect anything at all no matter what I set it to.
So, what can I do? I really don't want to use the old program, I've had enough of its slow glitchyness.
