Hotmail POP3

Hi!

Hotmail now (2009) allows pop3, but my lcdsmartie 5.4 still doesn't work. Gmail works fine, but the hotmail accounts returns: "Error connecting with SSL"

I tried my hotmail account using other email software and worked just fine

any thoughts!?

server: pop3.live.com
SSL: 995
login: EMAILXXXXX@hotmail.com
pass: MYPASS

Maybe they changed the SSL port and are not using the default 995?

On the same site is written that hotmail doesn't work for all countries, and it works only if you have a valid address.

Hotmail team started last year only to few countries. USA (and all countries in america) was schedule for feb09. But, Since march 13, ALL countries are ok and working.

As I said before, I CAN connect via email software like outlook with no issues at all (using SSL and everything mencioned) but lcd smartie still report error connecting SSL.

I have an valid hotmail account for 2 years.

Have you tried connect hotmail via pop3 ?!

Im having the same problem and cant connect. Has anyone found a fix for this??? or just a way to get new email notifications from hotmail???
