Antec Fusion Remote and GBPVR

Post by ^533saw5^ »

Hi all,

I have the Antec Fusion Remote case and I use GBPVR. Is it possible to get LCD Smartie working with this case and is there a plugin for GBPVR ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks ! :)

You need to know what display it is. How is it connected to your motherboard and what chip is controlling the display (get data on the display, or read on the back of it) ?

Then install smartie and select the right display in the options. Ask here again if it doesn't work. Also, check compatibility list on LCDSmartie homepage.

Im not sure what the exact model of the display is but it is the one in this case: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148790/sh ... ifications

It connects to the motherboard using the USB2 headers.
Any ideas ?

The problem isnt getting the LCD display working, it works fine with Imon.
I want to use LCD-Smartie to configure it instead of Soundgraph and possibly get a GBPVR plugin for it.
Has anyone got this LCD working with LCD Smartie at all ? If so could someone point me in the direction of the correct dlls/plugins please

Thanks ! :)

Does your Antec case have a VFD or LCD display? My case has a VFD display and I got it working with LCD smartie. If yours has a VFD you need to install the imon sound graph drivers and take a specific DLL file and put it inside the lcd smartie folder. I dont remember the specific files but it should be listed in the readme along with instructions or you can try looking somewhere on the pluggins forum.

VFD = vacuum fluorescent display. Has lots of little metal grilles inside a hollow glass envelope and the dots/pixels/digits etc are made of phosphor coated onto the back of the "tube" and typically glow bright blue-green. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuum_fluorescent_display

LCD = liquid crystal display. Generally has black digits/pixels and is backlit by green or blue LEDs. Some LCD modules have inverse pixels - the background is dark and the pixels glow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lcd

OK I have now managed to get it working using the above post, thanks for that.

One slight issue though, in order to get it to work with GBPVR I found a plugin that allows it to output the actions to a txt file, I then get LCD Smartie to display line 1 and 2 of the txt file on the display, this works great, however, after a period of time Soundgraph kicks in and puts the clock back on the display. Does anybody know if there is a way of stopping this from happening ? I would like to be able to keep the channel I am currently watching permanently displayed on the LCD. Is this possible ??
