Winamp plugin tiny mode performance question

I'm developing a LCD emulator, and it's working quite fine, but I'm having trouble with the Winamp plugin for LCD smartie...

When using the "tiny" mode (40 bar of one pixel width spectrum analyzer using 8 custom characters) the bar refreshes quite slowly. I tried to add some code to optimize that funcionality, but it still goes slow...

I would like to know if that happens with a real LCD screen. Anyone has tried that plugin with that setting? Is it working fast? (I mean, as fast as the other modes)

try to decrease "dll check interval" time under the misc tab...

I just wanted to know if that behaviour happens in real LCD screens... has anyone tried?

yes it also happens on real LCD if the dll refresh interval is set to high.
