Insted of using the standard 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, one would use 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1 as the horzontal bits. Using this setup on one of the 635 modues would blend the characters together with no spaces in between them resulting in a full icon. In the case of the figure above, there are 3 x 2 characters made to form an icon with nospaces.
WARNING:
This will not work on a display that is just for characters with the spaces inbetween them. For instance, a 40x4 that is just for letters and numbers. When you look at the screen on, you can see the pixels in it. This works where the pixels are continus for the whole screen like one of the Crystalfontz screens.
