Dam Lpt ribbon cable..........dam dam dam

I have a bought a new mobo and it has pins on the board..25 pins to be exact. So now my ribbon cable will not plug in as it has a male end. The other end is 26pin female.....and is fine to plug into the Lcd unit.
I looked on the web to no avail. Im not sure what to do to connect now.

Do I need a 26pin to 26pin ribbon cable? What to buy? and where ......Ive looked

Can I take apart a A: drive ribbon header end which is still to large but move the cable to the left or right of the snap on A: drive plastic header while making sure the teeth are were they should be and snap it down and go....????? Help.....!

any and I mean any help here would be appreciated....I miss my LCD so much....

Or where to buy a ribbon cable/////???????????? and it has to be long enough like the original......like 2 feet or so....

You have to check your mobo manual in order to confirm that the pin layout is the way that LCD requires. Please check carefully both layouts before connecting this LCD to your motherboard
