Program/Tool to identify LCD Screen

Program/Tool to identify LCD Screen Manufacturers & Model Numbers for Laptops.
There is a software program for a MAC Laptop that will tell you the
Manufacturer and model number of the LCD screen you have installed in your
laptop.
Was wondering if you have one for a Windows PC Laptop... sure would be nice.
Seems to me if Apple can do it .there ought to be a way for Microsoft to do
it also.....
