I have wrote a small plugin to get some information from the nvidia driver
I haven't tried on a few boxes, so it should work ok, but I would welcome any feedback.

with this plugin you can get:
driver version
total number of GPUs in the system
GPU name
GPU core/graphics memory/video engine utilization
GPU/board temperature
GPU fan rpm
there is a small readme in the zip file that shows how to get each of the above
If you get "NVAPI Error: NVAPI_NO_IMPLEMENTATION" for some requests the most likely reason is that your driver is too old.
