I recieved my LCD, prewired a week ago. I've run it since. It's a backlit 4x20 HD44780. Now, the last days I've been having problems. (Only used smartie 5.3) ... When there is static text (no change in 2-3 seconds) or no text, in the first 4 "squares" of a line (has to be all 4 squares) - these squares "fills up" - they show solid blocks.
I bought a PCI controller for the LCD, as I have a parallel printer - but I couldn't find out the address of the pci controller, nor how to change settings from ecp to epp - so I run the LCD off the mainboard and the printer off the pci controller.
Any ideas?
Btw,
I also usually get weak horizontal lines down random squares on a line, when that line is scrolling text or updating/changing numbers very frequently.
