Can I use a differnet port for pop3 email?

Post by fishthecat »

Hi,

I'm using a non-standard port on my mailserver for POP3. How can I set smartie up to check using that port?

I tried

Code: Select all

servername:portnumber
but that didn't work.

Any help greatfully recieved. :)

Hopefully you use SSL, then you can enter the ssl port number in the SSL box in LCDSmartie.

If you don't have SSL, maybe you could still try to put the port number there... who knows maybe it works :?

I don't use ssl as it's just an internal server.
I tried the port number in the SSL box, but that didn't work for me.
