LCD Smartie 5.4 Beta 3 runs fine under Windows Vista RC1 (x86).
But: Task Manager reveals that LCD Smartie uses a whopping 478 MB of RAM
What is wrong here with LCD Smartie? Because this slows down my PC (even with 2 GB installed), that measns I have to abandon the use of LCD Smartie to be able to still use my PC...
Any help available from the LCD Smartie developers ?
Note that windows vista is still not 'done', so this could very well be a bug in windows vista instead of in LCD Smartie.
Also Smartie excists of a lot of different snips of code that fetch data from everywhere in your computer and outside. Therefor it can verywell be that only 1 of these features is causing the problem.
If you try disabling all the features (clear the screens), then turning them on one by one, you can most likely find out what feature is causing the problem. This would help us a lot.
You should check to your LCD Smartie configuration...
I had tested the program under RC1 using crystalfontz driver and I received no strange behaviour at all.
Maybe a different lcd driver cause this... (What is your display type?)
An additional cause may be the configuration of your screens.
Please check the plugin callings and try to remove some.
